RukiPay, established in Uruguay in 2022, is a pioneering company with a vision to empower merchants worldwide. They aim to help businesses expand their global footprint and boost sales by facilitating international customers’ access to their respective countries’ most popular and user-friendly payment methods.

Challenge

RukiPay embarked on a mission to develop an all-encompassing platform tailored for merchants that seamlessly integrates various payment methods from across the globe in a straightforward and user-friendly manner. Their goal was to become the first platform in Uruguay to offer merchants PIX as a payment method.

Solution

In response to this challenge, we developed a cutting-edge mobile solution expressly designed for the next generation of Point of Sale (POS) systems. This innovative system simplifies the payment process, enabling cashiers at diverse stores to process secure payments from international customers with a single click.

Our team also conducted a comprehensive UX/UI overhaul to ensure a seamless and efficient payment experience for both merchants and their customers.

For the front end of the apps, we used Kotlin, while Node.js served as the backbone for the backend infrastructure. This choice of technology stack was instrumental in delivering a robust, reliable, and highly responsive payment platform.
